This is a virtual fundraising 5K for the Penmen community and any friends who are interested in helping and connecting during this difficult time! Participants choose their own start time and place, whether on a treadmill or their neighborhood street or trail. Simply walk or run for 3.1 miles at some point between Dec. 18-20, 2020.  

How do I register? 

There is a two-step process for registration, which begins on Nov. 30. First, you must purchase your ticket at SNHU Tickets. In your confirmation email, you will then be prompted to register and enter your time on IMLeagues. This second step is completely optional; you do not have to enter a time, although Campus Rec will highlight participants with winning times on our social media pages. 

What does it cost? 

Registration is $15 and all money will go toward the Angel Tree program. Registration closes on Dec. 16. 

Is this a fundraiser? 

Yes! The purpose of this event is to provide a community event and raise money for the Angel Tree Program. 

How long do I have to finish the race? 

The race period will begin on Friday, Dec. 18, and will go until Sunday, Dec. 20 at 11:59 p.m. EST. You can walk or run and submit your time on IMLeagues at any time during this period.  

What is the Angel Tree Program? 

The Angel Tree Program is an SNHU-led initiative that provides gifts for hundreds of people in our SNHU community. A committee works with local nonprofits to meet the needs of their clients during the holiday season. Purchase your ticket and support the program.  

How do I submit my time? 

Time should be submitted no later than Sunday, Dec. 20 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Participants should submit their time on IMLeagues.  

Is there a prize? 

No, there is no prize for this 5K, however, Campus Recreation and the Chandler Center will be honoring winners on our social media pages after the event.  

What else can I do to engage the event? 

Send us a picture of your run/walk! We encourage everyone to get out and complete the 5K in either your Penmen gear or your best holiday gear! Share your race photos with us by tagging @SNHUCampusRec and @SNHUServe on social media and we will be sure to feature you on our pages!
