Senior Shawn Montague (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) posted 18 points, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team outlasted Pace University, 74-68, Saturday at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire held its largest lead of the game at 46-30 nearly five minutes into the second half, when Pace ripped off an 18-1 run - led by nine points from Brandon Jacobs and six from Peyton Wejnert - to seize its only lead of the contest at 48-47 with 10:36 remaining. Almonacy answered with a 3-pointer that set off a 19-4 counter-run - with six each from Joyce and Montague, as well as four from Sanders - that pushed the Penmen advantage to 14 at 66-52 with 4:25 on the clock.
- Pace again would not go away, using a 9-0 run that spanned 1:42 to pull within one possession at 69-66 with 1:46 to go. SNHU, however, would go 5-for-7 from the line down the stretch to hold off the Setters and seal the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Jacobs scored a game-high 21 points (7-12 FG, 4-6 3-FG, 3-3 FT) to lead Pace, which also received 18 points (5-15 FG, 8-9 FT) and 11 rebounds from Wejnert.
- The Penmen outshot the Setters, 45.3 percent (24-53) to 42.3 percent (22-52), while Pace narrowly returned the favor from deep, 41.7 percent (10-24) to 40.9 percent (9-22).
- Pace also shot it better from the line, 87.5 percent (14-16) to 68 percent (17-25).
- The Penmen captured the paint (26-24), collected more points off turnovers (16-14), gathered more second chance points (8-7) and recorded a more impressive assist-to-turnover ratio (10/10-12/15), while the Setters won the glass (33-30) and scored more points on the fast break (6-2).
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire wins its fourth straight, while Pace loses for just the second time in its last five contests.
- SNHU, which leads the all-time series, 19-11, wins for the ninth time in the last 10 meetings with Pace and extends its home winning streak against the setters to eight.
- The Penmen avenge an 80-76 non-conference loss at Pace back on Dec. 21. That defeat snapped a run of eight straight victories for SNHU in the all-time series.

- The Penmen are back in action Tuesday, Feb. 4 (7:30 p.m.) when they take on in-state rival Franklin Pierce University.
