Sophomore Mikey Buscetto (Waterford, Conn.) scored a career-high 15 points as one of five in double figures, but the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team, seeded fifth in the Northeast Division, watched its season draw to a close Friday with a 90-75 defeat against the No. 4 seed from the Southwest Division, Pace University, in a Northeast-10 Championship first round tilt at the Goldstein Fitness Center.

KEY MOMENTS
- Pace led, 47-44, with less than 13 minutes remaining in regulation when it used a 16-4 run - with eight points from Tyrone Cohen Jr. and five from Peyton Wejnert - to open up a 63-48 advantage with 8:08 on the clock. SNHU would not get closer than nine the rest of the way.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Tyrone Cohen Jr. led all scorers with 27 points (9-14 FG, 4-9 3-FG, 5-6 FT) for Pace, while Bryan Powell added 24 points (7-10 FG, 3-3 3-FG, 7-11 FT) and 13 rebounds off the bench.
- The Setters outshot the Penmen, 51.8 percent (29-56) to 44.1 percent (26-59), including 37.5 percent (9-24) to 35.5 percent (11-31) from behind the arc.
- Pace was also plus-11 from the line, as it shot it better, 76.7 percent (23-30) to 70.6 percent (12-17).
- The Penmen collected more points off turnovers (16-12) and featured a slightly better assist-to-turnover ratio (13/7-20/11), while the Setters captured the glass (40-29), gathered more second chance points (12-8) and received more scoring from their bench (27-8).
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire had won seven of its last 10, while Pace has captured six of its last nine.
- SNHU dips to 21-14 (.600) all-time in the Northeast-10 Championship, including 1-2 against Pace. It was the first time the two had met in the NE10 tournament since 2006.
- SNHU, which leads the all-time series, 19-12, loses for just the second time in the last 11 meetings with Pace. The teams split a pair of regular-season meetings.
- Joyce closes his career in 44th place on SNHU's all-time scoring list with 1,112 points.
