Senior Karlee Ziliak (Evansville, Ind.) poured in a career-high 24 points in an efficient 34 minutes off the bench, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking, 72-70 loss in overtime to Assumption College on Saturday afternoon, as the program celebrated its 15th Annual Pink Day at the Stan Spirou Field House.

KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire held what matched its largest lead of the contest at 61-50 with less than four-and-a-half minutes to play in regulation, when Assumption ripped off 11 straight points, including six from Brianna Capacchione, to forge a 61-all tie with 15 seconds left. The Penmen had one final chance to win it, but missed a shot at the buzzer.
- In the extra session, SNHU led by as many as four and trailed by as many as three, but found itself locked in a 70-70 tie, with Assumption holding the final possession. Emme Poulin would win it for the visitors with a layup as time expired.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Capacchione matched Ziliak with 24 points (8-19 FG, 5-10 3-FG, 3-3 FT) to lead Assumption, which also received a double-double effort of 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-4 FT) and 10 rebounds from Temi Falayi.
- The Penmen outshot the Greyhounds, 45 percent (27-60) to 36.1 percent (26-72), including 52.2 percent (12-23) to 37.5 percent (9-24) from beyond the arc.
- Assumption was plus-7 from the line, despite narrowly being outshot, 66.7 percent (4-6) to 64.7 percent (11-17).
- The Penmen captured the paint (28-26), scored more on the fast break (15-8) and received more scoring from their bench (35-9), while the Greyhounds won the glass (45-38), gathered more points off mistakes (20-17) and second chance points (11-0), and recorded a better assist-to-turnover ratio (16/17-15/23).
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire loses for the third time in four games, while Assumption halts a two-game skid and wins for the third time in five contests.
- SNHU has now lost five straight and seven of its last nine to Assumption, which leads the all-time series, 34-18.Â
- The Greyhounds sweep the regular-season series from the Penmen, as they also won, 61-51, at home back on Nov. 23.
- Ziliak, whose previous career high was 19 points at Bentley University back on Dec. 21 of this season, also set a new career mark in field goals made (9), while matching her career best for 3-pointers made (5).
- The program was hosting its 15th Annual Pink Day to raise breast cancer awareness, with proceeds going to Catholic Medical Center's Breast Care Center, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and Camp Bravehearts.

- The Penmen are back in action Tuesday, Feb. 11 (5:30 p.m.) when they travel across town to take on Saint Anselm College.
