Junior Jeff Liss (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) fired a 2-under 68 at the opening round of the Northeast-10 Championship on Tuesday, as he leads the field and the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team sits third at Concord Country Club.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
- Liss' round included four birdies, as he holds a two-stroke lead.
- Sophomore AJ Cavotta (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) carded an even-par 70 and is tied for second.
- Senior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) shot a 77 and is tied for 25th.
- Freshman Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) turned in a 79.
NOTES
- Sophomore Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) did not factor into the scoring, as he finished with an 82.
- Assumption University owns a four-shot lead with a 289. Le Moyne College (293) and SNHU round out the top three.
- Liss is the individual leader by two strokes over Cavotta and Le Moyne's Tyler Birdd.
- The NE10 Championship is comprised of 50 golfers from 10 different institutions.
