NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Sophomore Andrew Surprenant (Boscawen, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team was selected as an NE10 All-Conference First Team honoree Wednesday when the league office announced its end-of-the-year awards.
Surprenant, who was also recognized as a First Teamer last season, took part in 10 tournaments this season, finishing in the top 20 all but once, while producing a trio of top-five performances, including a win that came at the Northeast 10 Championship. Surprenant averaged a 72.8 over his 24 rounds, shooting sub-70 on four occasions, including twice in his NE10 title win.
Surprenant helped the Penmen repeat as NE10 Champions, as he set an NE10 Championship and program record with a 6-under 65 in the final round. He ended up winning by eight shots with an 8-under 205, which also set a new NE10 Championship record for shots under par for 54 holes.
