Junior Jeff Liss (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) carded a 73 in the final round of the Northeast-10 Championship on Wednesday to claim individual medalist honors, while the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team finished third at Concord Country Club.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS

• Liss tied for the second best round of the day to finish with a 141. He led after the first round with a 2-under 68.
• Sophomore AJ Cavotta (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), who fired an even-par 70 and was tied for second following Tuesday's opening round, shot a 75 to tie for third with a 145.
• Freshman Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) shaved three strokes off his opening round to pencil in a 76 that gave him a 155 and tied him for 28th. 
• Senior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) matched his 77 from Tuesday to place 27th with a 154.
• Sophomore Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) also turned in a 77, bettering his first round by five shots for a two-round total of 159.

NOTES

• Liss is the first NE10 individual medalist for the Penmen since Matt Paradis repeated as conference champion in 2018.
• Liss and Cavotta earned NE10 All-Championship Team honors.
• Assumption University captured the league title with a 579, which was 15 strokes better than runner-up Le Moyne College (594).
• Liss won the event by three shots, with Assumption's Sean Magarian totaling a 144.
• Liss' six birdies tied for the second most during the event.
• The NE10 Championship was comprised of 50 golfers from 10 different institutions.
