SNHU volleyball picked up a key road win in NE10 play Friday night with a straight set victory over Southern Connecticut State University. With the win, the Penmen move into a four-way tie for fourth place in the Northeast-10 Conference standings. Freshman
Chiara Di Valerio (Terni, Italy) led the way with eight kills against the Owls. Set scores were 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Penmen opened the evening by scoring the first five points which included a kill and ace by Pacini. The Penmen never trailed en route to the 25-21 win.
- The second set was much more competitive, with the Owls opening up four-point leads, including 17-13. The Penmen responded with five straight points to open an 18-17 lead with a kill by Fontaine the difference.
- Southern Connecticut answered to tie the set at 22 with the Penmen scoring the final three points, including a kill by Di Valerio en route to the win.
- Down 15-13 in the third set, the Penmen finished strong, scoring five of the next six points to take an 18-16 lead on a service ace by Di Valerio. The Penmen won the third set 25-19.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- SNHU only outhit SCSU in the third set, but held a .126-.076 advantage for the match.
- The Penmen held a 9-4 edge in aces and a 6-2 advantage in blocks.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire has won four of its last five matches.
- SNHU has clinched an NE10 postseason berth and cannot finish worse than the No. 7 seed, but can slot in as high as No. 4.
