MANSFIELD, Mass. - Graduate student Kewsi Allen (Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team was selected as the NE10 Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 7, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Allen notched a goal and an assist in SNHU's 3-1 victory over Stonehill College to wrap the regular season on Wednesday. Allen assisted on the eventual game winner in the 63rd minute and then added his own insurance just 25 seconds later.
Allen ranks eighth in the NE10 in assists (5) and 15th in points (13). He is tied for the team lead in points, tied for second and helpers and tied for third in goals (4).
Allen and the fourth-seeded Penmen (11-5-1) return to action Wednesday, Nov. 10 (4 p.m.) when they travel to top-seeded Franklin Pierce University for an NE10 Championship semifinal match at Sodexo Field.
