MANSFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Theresa Irving (Penacook, N.H.) was named as NE10 Women's Indoor Field Athlete and Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
Competing at her first indoor meet with the SNHU program, Irving established a new program record while finishing second in the high jump at the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge in New Haven, Conn. Sunday. Irving was credited with a 1.60m high jump (5' 3"). Abigael Peterson of Bridgewater State won the event at 1.63m.
Irving now holds the Penmen record for the high jump both indoor and outdoor. On April 10, 2021, Irving set the outdoor mark with a 1.62m leap in a meet against Brandeis.
Up next for the Penmen will be a meet Saturday at the University of Southern Maine.
