SNHU Runners Win A Pair At Home Meet Saturday

(Hooksett, N.H.) - Senior Alex Boedeker (Attleboro, Mass.) ran away from a field of 13 to score a convincing win in the men's 5,000 at SNHU's Last Chance Conference Qualifier on Saturday at Penmen Stadium.

The SNHU Men's Cross Country team has been participating in some track meets this Spring in advance of the 2021 Northeast-10 Championships (May 7-8 in Springfield, Mass.).

Boedeker led a 1-2-3-4 finish for the Penmen in the 5,000.  His winning time was 15:54.77.  Junior Andrew Derry (Keene, N.H.) was second in the race (16:33.79) and Kody Gagnon (Tolland, Conn.) wound up third (16:44.35).  Freshman Andrew Chace (Amesbury, Mass.) ran fourth.

The Penmen also recorded a win on Saturday in the 1,500 with junior Jacob Logan (Norwood, Mass.) on top in 4:13.41. Sophomore J T Gulick (Norwalk, Conn.) ran to a third place finish (4:19.10).
