MANSFIELD, Mass. – Graduate student Meg Knollmeyer (Hampton, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team earned NE10 Player of the Week honors for the period ending Jan. 23, the league office announced Monday afternoon. It's the second time she's earned the award this season.
Knollmeyer had a big week for the 18th-ranked Penmen, who won all three games last week. She averaged 16.3 points and 10.3 rebounds over the three games. She tacked on another 31 rebounds this past week, surpassing 1,000 boards for her career. The New York Tech transfer leads the NE10 with 12.6 rebounds per game. She is also second in field goal percentage at 51.9 %
Knollmeyer and the 12-2 Penmen return to action Thursday, January 27 (5:30 p.m.) when they take on Adelphi in an NE10 game.
