NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Senior
Meghan Gordon (Attleboro, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team was recognized with an NE10 All-Conference Second Team nod Wednesday when the league office announced its end-of-the-year awards.
Gordon has started all 26 games this season, posting 14.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 block and just shy of 1.0 steal per contest. She is shooting 48.5 percent (160-330) from the floor and 80.6 percent (50-62) at the stripe. Gordon scored in double figures in 21 games and reached 20 points four times, while collecting 10 or more rebounds on seven occasions and recording six double-doubles. The two-time NE10 Player of the Week (Jan. 5, Jan. 26) leads the league in field goals made and field goal percentage, while ranking fourth in rebounding and blocked shots, and sixth in scoring.
Gordon and the sixth-seeded Penmen (14-12) take on second-seeded Southern Connecticut State University in the NE10 Championship semifinals on Thursday (March 5) at 5:30 p.m.
