Men's Golf Places Ninth at Post Eagles Invite

When and Where: October 11, 2022 – Watertown, Conn. (Watertown Golf Club)
Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 905 (9th/14)

Sophomore Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) fired an even-par 71 in the final round of the Post Eagles Invitational on Tuesday, but the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team finished ninth, overall, at Watertown Golf Club.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
  • Pepin's 71 matched the best Penmen score of the tournament, as he tied for 10th with a 219. Pepin bettered his score by two strokes each round.
  • Freshman Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) carded a 74 in the final round, placing 16th with a 221, after shooting 75 and 72, respectively, in the first two rounds.
  • Junior Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) submitted his best score of the tournament – a 79 that gave him a three-round total of 242.
  • Freshman Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with an 81, as he finished with a 238.
NOTES
  • Senior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.), who fired a 71 in the second round, did not factor in the team scoring with an 82 Tuesday. He tied for 38th with a 231.
  • Senior Jared Mscisz (Danvers, Mass.), playing as an individual, finished just in front of Conti at 37th with a 230, following his final-round 80.
  • Junior Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.), also playing as an individual, charged up the leaderboard with a 72 in the final round to finish with a 234.
  • Post University and Le Moyne College tied for first with an 876, while Le Moyne captured the tournament by winning the first playoff hole.
  • Le Moyne's Nicholas Bove earned individual medalist honors with a 4-under 209, carding a 69 in the final round.
  • Rollins sank one of five eagles on the day. He and Korkuc had two of the 12 for the tournament.
  • The Post Eagles Invitational was comprised of 81 golfers from 14 different institutions.
