Men's Golf Kicks Off Spring in Third Place at Saint Anselm Florida Invitational

Surprenant, Dully tied for fifth at 1-under

Sophomore Andrew Surprenant (Boscawen, N.H.) and senior Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) each carded a 1-under 71 in the opening round of the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team opened its spring slate Monday, sitting in third place at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
  • Surprenant and Dully are at 1-under, three shots back of the leader.
  • Sophomore Stephen Ramos (Danville, N.H.) is tied for 21st at 4-over 76.
  • Junior Mitchell Cormier (Walpole, N.H.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with a 79.
NOTES
  • Sophomore Sam Maurice (Auburn, N.H.) had his 93 dropped from the team score.
  • Adelphi University (279) leads Bentley University (293) by 14 strokes.
  • Adelphi's Zeus Sara (68) leads teammate Johnny Solari (69) by a single shot atop the individual leaderboard at 4-under.
  • The Saint Anselm Florida Invitational is comprised of 59 golfers from 10 different institutions.
