Peeters Earns Second NE10 Rookie of the Week

SNHU Freshman Shut Down New Haven In Shootout Win

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Freshman Emma Peeters (Wageningen, The Netherlands) of the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team was honored as the NE10 Rookie of the Week for the period ending Oct. 23, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Peeters, SNHU's goaltender, came up big on Saturday, in a 3-2 shootout win over first-place New Haven on Larkin Field.  In a shootout, Peeters made stops on all three Charger attempts.  She made 10 saves in the contest.

SNHU returns to action on Tuesday (4 p.m.) in an NE10 contest against Saint Michael's College on Larkin Field.
