MANSFIELD, Mass. - Freshman Emma Peeters (Wageningen, The Netherlands) of the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team was honored as the NE10 Goaltender and the NE10 Rookie of the Week for the period ending Oct. 2, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Peeters has started the six SNHU games this season and has a 2.13 goals against average. Last week, in SNHU's 2-1 win over Bentley University in the NE10 opener, Peeters made 12 saves. She followed that up with seven saves in a 1-0 loss to Pace University on Saturday.
SNHU returns to action on Tuesday (6 p.m.) in a non-conference contest with Franklin Pierce University on Larkin Field.
