Men's Golf Finishes Second at NE10 Championship

When and Where: October 3, 2022 – Endicott, N.Y. (En-Joie Golf Club)
Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 889 (2nd/11)

Freshman Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) carded a 1-under 71 in the final round of the Northeast-10 Championship on Monday, but the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team would finish second, overall, at En-Joie Golf Club.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
  • Dully, who submitted a better score in each of the three rounds (76/74/71), placed seventh with a 221.
  • Senior Jeff Liss (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) was just behind in ninth place with a 224 after shooting a 75. Liss opened with a 78 and fired a 71 in the middle round.
  • Freshman Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.), who entered the day in a first-place tie, turned in a 76 that left him in a fourth-place tie with a 3-over 219. He carded a 73 in the first round and fired a 70 in the second.
  • Sophomore Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) matched Rollins' 76 and tied for 10th with a 225 (77/72/76).
NOTES
  • Senior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) did not factor into the team scoring with a 79. He tied for 25th with a 231.
  • Assumption University, which started the final round in third place, won with an 885 that was four strokes better than SNHU.
  • Le Moyne College's Tyler Birdd earned individual medalist honors with a 2-under 214. His final-round 71 was the second lowest score of the day.
  • Dully collected the third most birdies of the tournament with 10, while Rollins was fifth with nine.
  • The NE10 Championship was comprised of 55 golfers from 11 different institutions.
  • With SNHU (second) finishing ahead of Saint Anselm (seventh), the Penmen gained two points in the Queen City Cup standings. The battle for Manchester supremacy is now tied, 2-2.
