Tori Allen (Litchfield, N.H.) finished second in the pentathlon as Southern New Hampshire Track & Field opened the season on Friday in New Haven, Conn.
NOTES
- Three Penmen participated in the pentathlon to kick off the season. The event consists of five competitions- a 55 hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and an 800m run. Points are awarded based on finishes in each event.
- Allen came up with 2626 points, including second place performances in the hurdles and high jump.
- Freshman Maggie McInerney (Acton, Mass.) wound up fourth with 2508 points, winning the long jump at 4.90m.
- Junior Emma Hallet (Billerica, Mass.) finished fifth with 2233 points with a second in the high jump her top performance.

- The Penmen will compete at the Beacon Invitation (hosted by UMass Boston) next Saturday (Dec. 10) at Track at New Balance.
