Men's Golf Finishes 7th At The Trojan

Pepin led all Penmen finishers placing 19th

When and Where: March  29, 2022 – Goldboro, N.C. (Walnut Creek Country Club)
Score: Southern New Hampshire University –300, 293, 315 - 908 (7th)
 
Goldboro, N.C. – Freshman Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) shot 78 in the final round, which was good enough to 19th place at The Trojan, a two-day-54-hole event hosted by Mount Olive University. The Penmen finished in seventh place of 11 teams.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
  • Senior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) carded the best round of the day for SNHU at +5, 77. He placed 24th for the event.
  • Junior Jeff Liss (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) shot a +7 (79) in the third round and finished 28th.
  • Freshman Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) fired a +9 (81) in the final round and finished 49th.
  • Sophomore Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) shot 87 and finished 60th playing as an individual
  • ­­Junior Jared Mscisz (Danvers, Mass.) shot a 90 and finished 62nd playing as an individual.
  • Sophomore AJ Cavotta (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) third round score was dropped after disqualification.
NOTES
  • Barton College narrowly won the 54-hole event with an even par 864, one shot better than Flagler's +1.

  • SNHU returns to action on Wednesday, April 6 in a dual match with St. Anselm at Derryfield Country Club.
