400 Wins Twice as Nice for Loiseau and Robitaille

SNHU Baseball and Softball Coaches Earn 400th Win Just Days Apart

Manchester, N.H. – It's rare to see a coach win 400 games at the college level. It is even more rare to have two at the same university. But imagine how rare it is for two SNHU coaches to capture their 400th win just days apart.

SNHU baseball coach Scott Loiseau earned his 400th win on March 20 in a win at Adelphi. Penmen softball coach Deb Robitaille captured her 400th win at home on March 26 with a triumph over Pace.

Deb Robitaille was named head coach of the SNHU softball program on May 31, 2005, and since then, has steadily built the Penmen into one of the top programs in the region. Robitaille spent six years as assistant softball coach before being promoted to head coach. Robitaille has guided the team to 13 NE10 playoff appearances, two NE10 titles and six NCAA appearances including back-to-back Super Regional appearances in 2015 and 2016. She is the winningest coach in program history. Coach Robitaille also garnered Northeast-10 Coach of the Year honors four times (2006, 2007, 2013, 2015).

Scott Loiseau was named the sixth head coach in SNHU baseball history on June 18, 2008.  He returned to that post in June, 2015 after departing in January of that year for a stint as an assistant coach at the University of Oklahoma. Southern New Hampshire has qualified for the NCAA tournament in each of the past nine seasons, including NCAA Division II College World Series appearances in Cary, N.C., in 2012, 2018 and 2021. He is a five-time Northeast-10 Coach of the Year (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2021), three-time NCBWA East Region Coach of the Year (2014, 2016, 2017), two-time NEIBA Coach of the Year (2016, 2017) and one-time ABCA East Region Coach of the Year (2012).

Loiseau and Robitaille have put Southern New Hampshire baseball and softball on the map as perennial powers in the East region. Join us in congratulating them on 400 wins at the helm at SNHU.
