Penmen Celebrate In Florida

Trip Concludes Saturday For Cheer Squad

(Daytona, Fla.) --- The SNHU Cheer Team wrapped up its Florida trip Saturday, celebrating the program's best-ever finish at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) College National Championships in Daytona Beach.   The Penmen finished third in the Advanced All-Girl category among Div. II schools.

Senior captain and English Major Ana Tunberg (Derry, N.H.) filed one report from Daytona Saturday:

Activities included watching the Partner Stunt Competition and the Mascot Competitions on the Bandshell. The Partner stunts, which included coed and all-girl, were so technique driven and very impressive to watch. The Mascot performances were very fun and full of energy and creativity!

SNHU cheer also attended Stunt Fest, of course. It was truly an amazing experience. The event was lively and full of outgoing cheerleaders from all over the country. All of the teams had fun together and celebrated a long year of hard work.

I know I speak for many when I say this last year has been full of obstacles. I want to say that I am proud of this team for overcoming all of them and showing that the work is worth it. Life is made up of moments, and SNHU cheer 2021-2022 embraced every single one. I am honored to have been both an athlete and a captain on this team.

NCA Nationals 2022 has now come to a close, and the SNHU Penmen will return to New Hampshire. I know I represent all of the Penmen by saying thank you to SNHU and our coaches for everything they have done to make this wonderful trip happen for us.

Even though Daytona Nationals 2022 has ended, the work never does. The SNHU Cheer off season has begun and we plan to put in the work to keep improving the program and making the Penmen Nation proud. Daytona 2023 is on the horizon already for your SNHU cheerleaders and we plan to continue the legacy: ETJ-IBTY.
