(Manchester, N.H.) - Southern New Hampshire University's cheer team was recognized on February 11 as Millennium Running's Volunteer of the Year, celebrating the program's consistent commitment to community engagement and service.
Upperclassmen members of SNHU Cheer attended the award ceremony to represent the team and accept the honor on behalf of the program. The recognition highlights the countless hours the team dedicates throughout the year supporting Millennium Running events across New Hampshire.
Accepting the award for the team were the team captains, graduate student Ariana Miller (Derry, N.H.), seniors Brooke Drouin (Manchester, N.H.) and Talen Letoile (Wolfeboro, N.H.), and junior Haleigh Bowler (Hooksett, N.H.).
From rain and heat to wind and snow, and from fall through spring, SNHU Cheer members bring their energy and enthusiasm to finish lines across the state. Their presence has become a staple at Millennium events, where they help create a memorable and uplifting experience for runners and spectators alike.
The award reflects the team's broader commitment to excellence in every arena. In addition to their volunteer efforts, SNHU Cheer continues to excel in the classroom, on the mat, and in support of fellow Penmen teams at games and campus events.
The program's guiding mindset — "Do good and be good" — is evident not only in competition, but also in the positive impact its student-athletes make throughout the community.
