DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - SNHU Cheer matched its best-ever finish at the NCA National Championships Friday in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Penmen finished in third-place in All-Girl Division II for a third consecutive year, and just missed second-place by .0167 points.

SNHU Cheer – 2025 NCA Nationals Recap: Friday – Finals
Finals Day — we showed up, put in the work, and left it all on the floor. After reviewing our notes Thursday night, the team was up early for a focused morning practice. The athletes did a great job taking in the feedback and making adjustments.
After lunch and getting competition-ready, we made our way back to the bandshell. We hit the grass to warm up stunts and skills one last time before heading into official warmups.
At 5:08 PM, SNHU Cheer took the mat for Finals. While it wasn't the exact performance we had hoped for, we're incredibly proud of this team for stepping up, as well as implementing corrections and suggestions from the judges. Our team performed the hardest skill set this program has ever competed at NCA. That in itself is a massive win. We finished 3rd out of 7 and just missing second place.
Tomorrow (Saturday) we'll close out the trip by cheering on the Grand Champs competition and then Stunt Fest begins — always a fun way to wrap up our Daytona experience.
We're already hungry for more and coming back stronger. We'll be seeing you in 2026, Daytona. The beach isn't ready for these Penmen!
