Senior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) carded an even-par 72 in the first round of the Penmen Fall Invitational on Monday, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team currently sits in third place following 18 holes at Beaver Meadow Golf Course.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS

• Conti's 72 has him tied for 10th place.
• Senior Jeff Liss (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) and freshman Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) are not far behind with a 2-over 74 that has them tied for 16th.
• Freshman Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with a 77.

NOTES

• Sophomore Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) did not factor into the team scoring with a 79.
• Playing as an individual, junior Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) is tied for fourth after firing a 1-under 71.
• Senior Jared Mscisz (Danvers, Mass.), also playing as an individual, turned in a 77 in the opening round.
• Junior Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) shot an 84.
• Le Moyne College is in first place with a 1-over 289, while Assumption University (290) is right behind in second place.
• Le Moyne's Nicholas Bove is the individual leader with a 3-under 69. St. Thomas Aquinas College's Nolan Skaggs and Assumption's Sean Magarian are tied for second with a 2-under 70.
• Mscisz pocketed one of the first round's two eagles, while Korkuc's four birdies are tied for the fourth most in the opening round. Liss is tied for the most pars at 14.
• The Penmen Fall Invitational is comprised of 84 golfers from 15 different institutions.
