Julia Colby (So. Paris, Maine) chipped in 13 as SNHU won a record-setting tenth straight game, 64-59 over New Haven on Tuesday night at the Stan Spirou Field House.

- Senior Ariana Koivisto (Pomfret, Conn.) – 9 points (3-8 FG, 3-4 3-FT), 6 rebounds, career-highs with seven assists and four steals
KEY MOMENTS
- Timberlake hit three of her first five field goal attempts to help as the Penmen built a 17-10 lead after the first quarter. A strong defensive effort forced the Chargers into seven turnovers in the first period.
- SNHU used a 12-0 run over 4:40 of the second quarter to open a 31-16 lead, which New Haven trimmed to 34-23 by halftime.Â
- The Penmen led by as 20 points in the third quarter, building a 45-25 lead on a three-pointer by Timberlake. SNHU took a 51-38 lead to the fourth quarter.
- SNHU was outscored 21-13 in the fourth quarter, but a three-point play by Colby with 1:45 to play gave the Penmen a 62-52 lead to hold off the late push by the Chargers.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- SNHUÂ shot 40.3% (25-62) for the game compared to 40.4% (21-52) for the Chargers.
- The Penmen were 22.2% (4-18) from three-point range and New Haven was 40.0% (6-15).
- New Haven also went a perfect 11-11 from the line, while the Penmen were 52.6% (10-19).
- The Chargers held a 43-30 rebounding edge, and a 10-4 advantage on second chance points.
- The big difference in the game was New Haven's 22 turnovers, which led to 24 SNHU points. The Penmen turned the ball over just seven times, leading to four points for the Chargers.
NOTES
- SNHU is receiving voters in both the WBCA Coaches poll and the D2SIDA media poll.
- At 8-1 in the NE10, the Penmen are a half-game ahead of Assumption and Bentley, who meet tomorrow night in Waltham.
- New Haven leads the all-time series 37-24, but the Penmen have won four of the last five in the series.
- The Penmen have won ten straight games for the first time in program history, eclipsing the nine wins in a row set in the 1987-88 season.
- SNHU improves to 33-9 (.786) since the start of the 2021-22 season.
- DeVries, who played a season-high 25 minutes with junior Jess Knight (Hanover, Mass.) out, scored a career-high nine and matched her best with eight rebounds.
- Timberlake, who has scored 10 or more points in 13 of 14 contests this year, matched her season-high with 24 points, a mark she has hit three times this season. Her career-best came in November of 2021 with 26 points.Â
