SNHU's Indoor Track & Field team won the Panther Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Junior
Emma Hallet (Billerica, Mass.) won two events. Other winners on Saturday were graduate student
Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.), junior
Ava Gravell (Windham, N.H.), and senior
Sarah Zarakotas (Deerfield, N.H.). The Penmen also won the 4x4 relay.
TOP PERFORMERS
- Hallet picked up wins in the 60 hurdles (9.67) and the high jump (1.56m), also setting a new PR with an eighth-place finish in the 60-yard dash.
- Gravell ran second in the 60 with a new personal best of 7.98 seconds. She also won the 200m at 26.58 and finished third in the long jump (4.66m).
- Corcoran won the 800m in a new PR (2:18.00), competing in the event for the first time since 2019-20.
- Zarakotas won the mile in 5:34.29.
NOTES
- Freshman Maggie McInerney (Acton, Mass.) ran second to Gravell in the 200m with a time of 27.40 seconds.
- Junior Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.) ran second to Corcoran in the 800m with a time of 2:25.47.
- Junior Riley McDermott (Kennebunk, Maine) set a new PR for the mile while finishing third in 5:46.53.
- Freshman Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) had a second-place finish in the 5000 at 18:58.95. Junior Kelsey Seamans (Methuen, Mass.) was third at 19:17.32.
- The winning 4x400m relay team was McInerney, junior Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Mass.), freshman Colleen McGurl (Billerica, Mass.), and junior Theresa Irving (Salisbury, N.H.). The winning time was 4:30.30.
- Graduate student Tatyanna Beckford (Orange, N.J.) led the Penmen with a fifth-place finish in the shot put (10.75m), and graduate student Bennie Alula (Hartford, Conn.) was top in the weight throw, finishing second at 13.82. Beckford was third, matching her career-best at 13.47m.
