MANSFIELD, Mass. - Freshman Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) earned NE10 Track Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, it was announced on Tuesday.
Obernesser ran a 5:25.54 mile at the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Saturday. It was the second fastest mile by an NE10 freshman so far this season.
The Penmen, the top-ranked team in the East Region (USTFCCCA), heads to Boston Thursday and Friday for the New England Championships (NEICAAA). SNHU will also compete at Plymouth State University on Saturday at the Panther Invitational.
