Rollins Matches League Record; Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at NE10 Championship

Rollins' 66 is tied for the lowest single round at the NE10 Championship

Sophomore Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) matched a single-round NE10 Championship record with a 66 on the final day at Twin Hills Country Club, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team placed fourth.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
  • Rollins finished fifth with a 1-over 214 on the strength of the 5-under 66, as he improved each round and was six strokes better than his second round 72.
  • Sophomore Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) shot his third straight 74 to tie for 11th at 222.
  • Senior Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) also carded a 74, finishing just behind Dully in 16th with a 223.
  • Junior Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) penciled in a 77 to tie for 20th at 226.
NOTES
  • Senior Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) had his 80 dropped from the team score and finished tied for 26th with a 231.
  • Rollins becomes the seventh golfer to shoot 66 in a single round at the NE10 Championship and the first since former Penmen Matt Paradis in 2018. Of the seven, Rollins is the fourth golfer from SNHU to accomplish the feat, joining Paradis, Jake Nutter (2014) and Chris Rivard (2002).
  • Adelphi University (866) captured the conference title by five strokes over Assumption University (871).
  • Assumption's Sean Magarian (70/72/67) rallied to win the individual crown with a 54-hold, NE10 Championship-record of 4-under 209, which was three shots better than Adelphi's Filip Wetterqvist (71/70/71).
  • Rollins finished second in the tournament with 13 birdies.
  • Pepin (38), Dully (37) and Tufts (35) placed second, third and fifth in pars.
  • The NE10 Championship was comprised of 50 golfers from 10 different institutions.
