Sophomore Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) carded a 2-under 68 in the second round of the Penmen Invitational on Monday, while the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team is in seventh place following the opening two rounds at Concord (N.H.) Country Club.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
- Rollins shot a 75 in the first round, before shaving seven strokes off with a 68 that has him tied for eighth with a 3-over 143.
- Junior Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) is tied for 18th with a 5-over 145. He carded a 74 in the opening round and came back with a 1-over 71 in round No. 2.
- Senior Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) totaled a 147 to tie for 28th, shooting a 73 in the first round and 74 in the second.
- Fellow senior Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) penciled in a pair of 74s to tie for 33rd with a 148.
- Sophomore Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) had his 77 dropped from the first-round team score, but rebounded with a 2-over 72 in the second round. He is tied for 39th with a 149.
NOTES
- Freshman Mitchell Cormier (Walpole, N.H.), playing as an individual, submitted a 77 and 75 in the first two respective rounds for a 152.
- Fellow freshman Drew Cameron (Londonderry, N.H.), also playing as an individual, posted matching 77s for a 154.
- St. Thomas Aquinas College (572) in in first place by three strokes over Post University (575).
- Post's Bill Koch (71/66) and Bentley University's Zach Stewart (69/68) are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 3-under 137.
- The Penmen Invitational is comprised of 81 golfers from 14 different institutions.
