Graduate student Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) shot an even-par 72 in the final round, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team finished in third place – just one shot off the lead – at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic on Tuesday at Great River Golf Club in Milford, Conn.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS

• Korkuc tied for fifth at 5-over 221, after shooting 1-under 143 over the final two rounds.
• Senior Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) carded his second straight 74 to match Korkuc at 221.
• Junior Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) registered a 229 to tie for 16th, following his final-round 77.
• Sophomore Mitchell Cormier (Walpole, N.H.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with his lowest round of the tourney – a 78 that put him at 237.

NOTES

• Freshman Andrew Surprenant (Boscawen, N.H.) had his 81 dropped from the team score, as he checked in at 234 for the three rounds.
• Hofstra University totaled a 305 to rally and tie two-round leader Manhattan College for first place, as they both finished at 901. SNHU recorded the best score of the day at 301 to finish just one shot off the lead at 902.
• Yale University's Will Lodge fired a 2-under 70 to win individual medalist honors by three strokes over Manhattan's Robert Leo Arnorsson.
• The Sacred Heart Fall Classic was comprised of 57 golfers from 11 different institutions.
