Freshman Sam Maurice (Auburn, N.H.) is one of three Penmen tied for ninth place, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team is fourth, overall, following two rounds of the Post Eagles Fall Invitational on Monday at Watertown (Conn.) Golf Club.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS

• Maurice opened with a 3-over 74 in the first round and followed with a 76 to tie for ninth with an 8-over 150.
• Senior Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.), who tied for first at the NE10 Championship last week, matched Maurice's score in each round.
• Freshman Andrew Surprenant (Boscawen, N.H.) is also tied for ninth at 150, as he carded an opening-round 73 and then turned in a 77 in the second round.
• Freshman Stephen Ramos (Danville, N.H.) shot a 78 in the first round and then had his second-round 83 dropped from the team score. He is at 161 through the two rounds.
• Sophomore Mitchell Cormier (Walpole, N.H.) had his opening-round 83 shed from the team score and then submitted an 81 in the second round for a total of 164.

NOTES

• Dominican (N.Y.) University (595) is in first place, just four shots ahead of St. Thomas Aquinas College (599). SNHU, which is coming off its fifth NE10 Championship title last week, is just one shot back of third-place Assumption University (608).
• Host Post University's Joe Ensign (141) leads Dominican's Alexander Lundvall (142) by a single stroke.
• The Post Eagles Fall Invitational is comprised of 69 golfers from 12 different institutions.
