Senior Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) fired a second-round, 3-under 67 and is in first place on the individual leaderboard, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team also sits in first after two rounds of the NE10 Championship on Monday at Concord (N.H.) Country Club.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
- Pepin shot an even-par 70 in the first round, before turning in his 67 that has him in first place at 3-under 137.
- Junior Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) is tied for fifth with a 2-over 142 after submitting a 72 in the opening round and shaving off two strokes for an even-par 70 in the second.
- Junior Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) matched Rollins' scores in each round and is also tied for fifth at 142.
- Freshman Andrew Surprenant (Boscawen, N.H.) opened with an even-par 70, but carded a 74 in the second round, as he is in ninth place with a 144.
NOTES
- Graduate student Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) had his first-round 82 and his second-round 78 dropped from the team score.
- SNHU's two-round total of 565 is 17 shots better than the second-place team, Adelphi University (582).
- Pepin leads by two strokes over Adelphi's Francis Lanuza.
- The Penmen, who were chosen first in the NE10 Pre-Championship Poll last week, are in search of their fifth NE10 title and first since 2018.
- The NE10 Championship is comprised of 40 golfers from eight different institutions.
