Anderson, Keith Capture D2CCA East All-Region Accolades

Anderson named to the First Team

QUEENS, N.Y. – Graduate student Alyssa Anderson (Londonderry, N.H.) and junior Claudia Keith (Danvers, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team were recognized with Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) honors Tuesday.

Anderson becomes the seventh member of the program to earn First Team honors and the first since Allyson Patterson and Ai Inoue received the awards in 2021, as she collected one of the four midfielder slots. Anderson, one of seven Penmen to start all 18 matches this season, led the team with 17 points on six goals and five assists. The two-time NE10 Player of the Week (Oct. 14, Nov. 11) ranked eighth in the conference in assists, ninth in points and 11th in goals. Anderson, who was chosen as an NE10 All-Conference First Team selection earlier this month, was a D2CCA East All-Region Second Team pick last season.

Keith claimed the Second Team goalkeeper spot to add to her list of 2024 accolades that includes NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year and NE10 All-Conference First Team honors. Keith played every second in net for SNHU this season, going 10-2-6 with 11 shutouts. She stopped 62 of 72 shots over 1640:00, recording a 0.55 goals-against average and .861 save percentage. The Oct. 14 NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week ranked second in the NE10 in shutouts, GAA and minutes played, while placing third in save percentage and 10th in total saves. Keith's 11 shutouts wound up one shy of tying the program's single-season record.

The Penmen (10-2-6, 5-1-4 NE10), who finished as the No. 3 seed and were knocked out of the NE10 Championship on penalty kicks, gathered the No. 3 seed in the East Region and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championship.
