EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team spent an hour Monday afternoon playing basketball alongside children at the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana. The Penmen were participating in their community engagement day at the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.
The men's basketball team held a clinic with the grade-school-aged children, teaching them skills, running them through drills and playing in fun games, all while cheering them on with encouraging positivity.
For over 165 years, the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana located in Evansville, Indiana has offered mission-driven programs and quality services to children and families, helping people grow in spirit, mind and body.
The seventh-seeded Penmen (24-10), both the NE10 and NCAA East Region Champions, play in the Elite Eight against second-seeded and defending NCAA Division II National Champions Nova Southeastern University (30-2) on Tuesday, March 26 (3:30 p.m. EST) at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.
