Junior Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) carded a 1-under 141 to capture individual medalist honors, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team finished first at the Hawk Invitational on Thursday at The Oaks Golf Links.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS

• Pepin fired a tournament-best 70 in the opening round and followed it up with a 71 to finish first with a 141.
• Senior Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) tied for second with a 145, after shooting a 75 in the first round and turning in a 70 for the best second-round score of the day.
• Senior Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) penciled in a 76 in round one and a 77 in the second round to tie for 15th with a 153.
• Sophomore Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) matched Korkuc's 153 (78/75).

NOTES

• Sophomore Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) had his 85 in the first round and 80 in the second both dropped from the team score.
• Freshman Drew Cameron (Londonderry, N.H.), playing as an individual, opened with an 83 and finished with a 76 to total a 159.
• Freshman Mitchell Cormier (Walpole, N.H.), also playing as a individual, recorded an 84 in the first round before withdrawing.
• SNHU, which shot 299 to finish tied with Assumption University after the first round, edged the Greyhounds (595) by three strokes.
• Pepin, who had two of the three lowest scores on the day, defeated Assumption's Sean Magarian (145) and Tufts by four shots.
• The Hawk Invitational was comprised of 48 golfers from eight different institutions.
