Senior Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) carded a 74 to finish eighth at the Atlantic/East Regional Preview on Tuesday, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team jumped up five spots to place 14th at the Oglebay Resort-Jones Course.

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS

• Tufts bettered his round-one score by one stroke to total a 149.
• Sophomore Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) slashed 10 shots off his opening-round score, shooting a 77 that gave him a 164 for the tournament.
• Junior Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.), who shot an 82 on Monday, penciled in a 79 to tabulate a 161.
• Sophomore Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with an 82, adding to a first-round 78 that slotted him in with a 160.

NOTES

• Senior Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) had his 83 dropped from the team score, though he shaved six strokes off his first-round score and finished with a 149.
• The University of Charleston (598) edged Gannon University (600) by two strokes.
• Glenville State University's Benjamin Fernandez earned individual medalist honors with a 5-under 137, which was eight shots ahead of Mercyhurst University's Aidan Fong (145).
• The Atlantic/East Regional Preview was comprised of 130 golfers from 26 different institutions.
