Junior Daya Jean-Baptiste (Miami, Fla.) collected five kills on .500 hitting, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to American International College on Tuesday night at Butova Gymnasium.
NOTES
- AIC has a 23-8 advantage in the all-time series with the Penmen. It has now won 11 of 13 versus SNHU, including eight of nine and three straight. The Yellow Jackets have also captured five of six, including two straight, on their home court. The last Penmen win in the series came at AIC in a five-set NE10 quarterfinal victory Nov. 14, 2023.
- American Int'l had all 21 of the aces in the match.
- Sophomore Sophie Chevalier (Charlton, N.Y.) led the team with six kills and added three digs.
- Sophomore Ariana Davila (Austin, Texas) dished 13 assists.
- Graduate student Meri Ibrahimi (Woburn, Mass.) reached double figures in digs with 10.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Penmen are back in action Saturday, Oct. 18 when they take part in a tri-match at Assumption University. SNHU takes on the Greyhounds at noon and battles Wilmington (Del.) University at 2:30 p.m.
- The next home game for SNHU will be on Tuesday, Oct. 21 (6:00 p.m.) against Franklin Pierce University in what will be the first conference home match of the season.
