Dani Gonzalez (Llanera, Spain) had a hand in all three goals, including the game-winning strike, to lead the 12th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team to a 3-2 non-conference victory against Thomas Jefferson University on Saturday afternoon at Ravenhill Field.
KEY MOMENT
- After Jefferson rallied from down 2-0 with a pair of goals late in the first half, SNHU netted the eventual game winner just over 11-and-a-half minutes into the second stanza when freshman Gabi Barroso (A Coruña, Spain) served in a ball from the left flank that Gonzalez volleyed from the far right side of the box inside the near post.

- Southern New Hampshire, ranked 12th in the United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25, has now won five of its last six.
- The Penmen held a 16-7 advantage in shots, including 9-4 in shots on target.
- SNHU takes a 2-1 lead in the all-time series, getting back in the win column after losing the first meeting in Philadelphia last season (2-1).
- Graduate student Alvaro Garcia (Castelldefels, Spain) made two saves.
- Gonzalez' two goals are his first two of the season and Nos. 4 and 5 of his Penmen career. This was his first multi-goal game in his two years with the Penmen.
- Philipp Herrmann (Bruckmuehl, Germany), who gave the Penmen a two-goal lead in the 26th minute, snapped a three-match scoring drought with his ninth goal of the year and 27th of his career. He leads the NE10 in goals and points (18).
- Graduate student Martin Fuentes (Pamplona, Spain) notched an assist on Herrmann's goal, giving him 16 points on the season, which places him second in the league.
- SNHU is 154-40-29 (.756) over its last 223 matches dating back to the beginning of the 2013 National Championship season.
