Sophomore Scored OT Goal to beat Framingham State Saturday

NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Sophomore Ryan Kayser (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) of the Southern New Hampshire University ice hockey team has been named the Northeast 10 Player of the Week, as announced Monday.

Kayser had a huge opening night for the Penmen in their 4-3 overtime win against Framingham State. He set up two goals before scoring the game-winner just 38 seconds into the extra period, finishing with a +3 rating.

It marks the first Player of the Week honor for Kayser, who was twice named NE10 Rookie of the Week last season. He was also selected to the NE10 All-Rookie Team and Second Team All-Conference.

The Penmen return to action this weekend with a two-game series at Franklin Pierce University. SNHU will host its next home games at The Ice Den in Hooksett on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14-15, against Saint Anselm College.
