Pentathlon Opens Two-Day Dartmouth Meet for Indoor Track & Field

Freshman Lindy Moreland Has Top Score for SNHU

The Southern New Hampshire University Indoor Track & Field program opened its weekend at the Dartmouth December Invite, competing in Friday's pentathlon inside Leverone Field House. Freshman Lindy Moreland (Gorham, Maine) led the Penmen squad, finishing in fifth place with 2,618 points.  Moreland finished in the top five in the high jump and 800 meters.

Junior Madison Lyons (Mansfield, Conn.) and freshman Erin Kelley (Braintree, Mass.) followed in eighth and ninth place. Lyons delivered her strongest effort in the long jump, while Kelley closed the day with one of the pentathlon's fastest 800-meter times, earning third in the event. Junior Jordan Wheaton (Hooksett, N.H.) also competed, opening with an 8.96 in the 60-meter hurdles—good for sixth overall—but did not complete Friday's competition.

Celia Kulis of Holy Cross won the pentathlon with 3,457 points.
