Wheelock, Wojcik Set New Program Records at NEICAAA Championships

Penmen Finish Seventh at New Englands in Easton, Mass.

When and Where: May 8–9, 2026 – NEICAAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (Stonehill College – Easton, Mass.)
Results: T-7th of 23 (28 points)

The SNHU women's track & field team turned in a strong showing at the NEICAAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend, highlighted by two new program records and multiple scoring performances against a deep New England field.

TRACK

  • Sophomore Erika Wojcik (North Andover, Mass.) delivered one of SNHU's top performances of the meet, finishing fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:12.04, setting a new program record.
  • In the hurdles, junior Kay Wheelock (Milford, Mass.) turned in a standout performance, placing fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.58, also establishing a new program record in the event.
  • Senior Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) has another strong meet for the Penmen, with a fifth-place finish in the 100 meters in 12.10 and adding an eighth-place finish in the 200 meters (25.37).
  • Sophomore Hannah Sippel (Chester, N.H.) also scored in the sprint events, placing sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 57.94 and adding a 10th-place finish in the 200 meters (25.79).
  • Graduate student Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) led the distance group with an eighth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:22.11), while junior Natalie Sicard (Nottingham, N.H.) also competed in the event, finishing 9th (12:57.51).
  • Junior Deirdre Bailat (North Billerica, Mass.) competed Friday, placing 13th in the 5,000 meters (18:58.61).

FIELD

  • Freshman Jordyn Wall-Carty (Woodridge, N.Y.) recorded a personal-best performance in the long jump, placing eighth with a mark of 5.39 meters to score for the Penmen.
  • In the throws, senior Brooke Bibbo (Burlington, Mass.) delivered a strong weekend, recording a season-best in the discus (37.25m) while also placing eighth in the shot put.

NOTES

  • The Penmen finished tied for seventh overall with 28 points in a 23-team field that included Division I, II, and III programs.  The University of Rhode Island (186.50), Southern Connecticut State (109), and UMass Amherst (78) were the top three teams.
