Penmen Open Season With Record-Breaking Performances at PSU Winter Classic

Hope Sinclair, Jordan Wheaton Set New Marks at Indoor Track & Field Opener

The SNHU Indoor Track & Field Team opened the 2025–26 season in strong fashion at the Plymouth State Winter Classic, competing as a split squad and producing multiple standout performances — including two new program records.
KEY MOMENTS
  • Senior Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) wasted no time making her mark on opening day. She dominated the 60 meters, clocking 7.76 in the prelims, a new program record, before returning to win the final in 7.77
  • In the hurdles, junior Jordan Wheaton (Hooksett, N.H.) delivered a tremendous season debut of her own. After running 9.00 in the prelims, Wheaton stormed to victory in the 60m hurdles with a program-record 8.97 in the finals. She also added a win in the high jump at 1.58m.

Women's 60m – Hope Sinclair

  • Time: 7.76 (Prelims – program record) / 7.77 (Final – 1st)

Women's 60m Hurdles – Jordan Wheaton

  • Time: 8.97 (Final – program record)
    Wheaton broke the program record and led a near-sweep for SNHU, with teammates scoring big behind her.

Women's High Jump – Jordan Wheaton

  • Height: 1.58m (1st)
    A second win on the day for Wheaton, showcasing her multi-event talent.

Women's Long Jump – Freshman Jordyn Wall-Carty (Woodridge, N.Y.)

  • Distance: 5.31m (1st)
    Wall-Carty opened her collegiate career with a clutch win and a series led by her third-round leap.

Women's Shot Put – Senior Brooke Bibbo (Burlington, Mass.)

  • Distance: 11.24m (1st)
    Bibbo delivered a consistent series and secured the win by over 30 centimeters.

    The SNHU women finished second overall with 81 points, just five points off the team title earned by host Plymouth State.

  •  SNHU continues its early-season slate tomorrow, sending athletes to the Sharon Collyear-Danville meet at Boston University.
