MANAHAWKIN, NJ– 12 Student-athletes from the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team were named to the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad (3.5 GPA). Six of the ten were named Division II Scholars of Distinction (3.9 GPA) on Friday.
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors athletes who have maintained high averages through the first semester of the current academic year (2024-25) and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.

The Penmen, led by Julie Munson since the 2014-15 season, finished up 2024 with a 16-4 record, qualifying for the NCAA tournament for the second time in program history.
Two prestigious Division II academic awards are yet to be unveiled — the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 18, and concluding with the announcement of the National Scholar-Athlete on February 20.
