A trio of Penmen recorded a final-round 73, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team placed 15th at the Trevecca Nazarene University Music City Invitational on Tuesday at Hermitage Golf Course.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
- Senior Jack Pepin (Plaistow, N.H.) carded a 73 for his second best round of the tournament, as he finished with an 8-over 218 to tie for 37th.
- Junior Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.) continued his steady play, following his 74 and 73 in the first two respective rounds with another 73 that gave him a 220 for the tournament.
- Graduate student Alex Korkuc (So. Setauket, N.Y.) was the third Penmen with a 73 – his best round of the week – wrapping the tourney with a 227.
- Freshman Andrew Surprenant (Boscawen, N.H.), who went 72-74 Monday, added a 75 for a three-round total of 221.
NOTES
- Junior Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) had his 80 dropped from the team score and totaled a 228.
- Sophomore Mitchell Cormier (Walpole, N.H.), playing as an individual, fired the best round of the day for SNHU with a 72, giving him a 224.
- Union (Tenn.) University (830) rallied with a 10-under-par round to finish as the only team under par. It defeated Cumberland University (846) by 16 shots.
- Hillsdale's Filippo Reale penciled in a 71 to earn individual medalist honors with a 7-under 203, defeating Trevecca Nazarene's Maddoz Burton (204) by a single stroke.
- Cormier had one of the tournament's six eagles.
- The Music City Invitational was comprised of 92 golfers from 17 different institutions.
