Martin Fuentes (Pamplona, Spain) snapped a 1-1 tie with 3:06 remaining and then set up an insurance goal in the final seconds to lead the sixth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over the University of Bridgeport on Wednesday night at Ouellette Stadium.
KEY MOMENTS
- With the match even at 1-all a little over three minutes remaining in the contest, Fuentes received a quick touch pass from senior Tyler Kraft (Londonderry, N.H.) at the top of the box, popped the ball up with his heel to be able to turn on his defender and volley it out of the air, ripping a shot from the right that beat the diving goalkeeper inside the left post.

- Southern New Hampshire, ranked sixth in the United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25, is unbeaten through its first five for the second time in three seasons.
- The Penmen improve to 21-7-2 all-time against Bridgeport, including 11-2-1 at home. SNHU is unbeaten in 17 of its last 18 (16-1-1) against Bridgeport, including eight straight (7-0-1). The Penmen also extend their home unbeaten streak against the Purple Knights to eight (7-0-1), with UB having not defeated SNHU on the road since Nov. 10, 1990 (1-0).
