NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Senior Brooke Bibbo (Burlington, Mass.) was named Northeast 10 Field Athlete of the Week, and freshman Jordyn Wall-Carty (Woodridge, N.Y.) was named Northeast 10 Track & Field Rookie of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
The awards were based on results from the first two competitions of the 2026 season, with SNHU competing at USM II on Jan. 10 and the Suffolk Ice Breaker on Jan. 18.
Bibbo earned Field Athlete of the Week honors after recording an 11.19-meter shot put at USM, finishing fifth overall. The mark currently ranks as the fourth-best throw in the Northeast 10 this season.
Wall-Carty becomes the second consecutive SNHU athlete to earn Rookie of the Week honors, following freshman Lindy Moreland (Gorham, Maine). Wall-Carty matched the second-best long jump in the Northeast 10 this season with a 5.37-meter effort at Southern Maine, setting a new personal record. She also finished sixth in her first collegiate triple jump competition.
The Southern New Hampshire University indoor track & field program will next compete at MIT for the Gordon Kelly Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 24.
