The first of two days of the Northeast 10 Indoor Track & Field Championships is now complete. The Penmen are in sixth place with six of 18 events scored on Thursday.
Pentathlon Champion
Freshman Lindy Moreland (Gorham, Maine) claimed the Northeast 10 Championship in the pentathlon, scoring 3,000 points to earn 10 team points and the individual conference crown.
Moreland delivered a balanced performance across all five events, highlighted by a 1.59m clearance in the high jump and a 4.88m effort in the long jump. She closed the competition with a strong 800 meters to secure the title and a podium celebration. Moreland set a PR for the event, and set new marks in four of her five events.
Scoring Performances
Junior Deirdre Bailat (Billerica, Mass.) added valuable team points in the 5,000 meters, placing fourth in 19:11.86.
Freshman Jordyn Wall-Carty (Woodridge, N.Y.) also scored for the Penmen with a seventh-place finish in the long jump (5.12m).
Finals Qualifiers – Day 2
SNHU advanced multiple athletes to Friday finals on the track:
• Senior Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) qualified for both the 60-meter dash final (7.74) and the 200-meter final (25.32).
• Sophomore Hannah Sippel (Chester, N.H.) advanced to the 400-meter final after running 58.25 in prelims.
• Sophomore Erika Wojcik (North Andover, Mass.) earned an automatic qualifier in the 800 meters (2:18.86).
• Junior Jordan Wheaton (Hooksett, N.H.) advanced to the 60-meter hurdles final (8.92).
Team Update
After six scored events, Southern Connecticut State leads the women's team standings heading into the final day of competition.

The Northeast 10 Championships conclude Friday at the TRACK at New Balance, with SNHU set to compete in multiple finals as the Penmen look to climb the team standings.
