The Southern New Hampshire University men's lacrosse team dropped a hard-fought 11-10 decision at Saint Michael's College on Saturday evening in Northeast 10 Conference action. Junior Sean Dwyer (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) recorded his first hat trick of the year, but a seven-goal third quarter by the Purple Knights proved to be the difference in another tightly contested matchup between the programs.
KEY MOMENTS
- SNHU built early momentum, taking a 3-2 lead after one quarter and extending it to 7-3 midway through the second, fueled by goals from Dwyer, junior Joey Gallo (Derry, N.H.) and senior Aiden Blouin (Barre, Vt.).
- The Penmen appeared in control late in the second quarter following a four-goal run in just over five minutes that opened up the four-goal cushion.
- Saint Michael's responded with a decisive third quarter, outscoring SNHU 7-1, including five goals in the final 5:31 of the period to turn a 7-6 deficit into a 10-8 lead.
- The Purple Knights added an early fourth-quarter goal to make it 11-8 before SNHU mounted a late push.

- Saint Michael's held advantages in faceoffs (16-9) and ground balls (37-35), helping fuel its third-quarter surge.
- The loss marked the fourth consecutive one-goal game between the two programs, with each team winning on its home field over the past four seasons.
- Saint Michael's now leads the all-time series, 29-15.
