Female Athlete of the Week: Dajana Abadzic - Women's Tennis - Jr.
Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) went 5-1 during a 3-0 week for women's tennis, including 2-1 in singles. Abadzic's only loss came to the College of the Holy Cross' Phoebe Devine (5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 4-6) at the top flight in a 4-3 win Wednesday. She bounced back with a No. 1 singles win against Marie Knispel (6-2, 3-6, 6-4) in a 4-3 victory at Assumption University on Thursday and closed the week in Saturday's 5-2 triumph over Saint Michael's College with a 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-8 win against Olivia Larsen at No. 2. Abadzic also teamed with Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) for a trio of No. 1 doubles wins against Holy Cross's Devine and Margaret Winiecki (6-4), Assumption's Darja Trinerova and Marian Aguirre (6-2), and Saint Michael's Lucy McPherson and Jedidah Xu (6-2).

Male Athlete of the Week: Shane McNamara - Baseball - Gr., OF
Shane McNamara (Londonderry, N.H.) hit .560 (14-25) with eight extra-base hits, including four home runs, 19 RBI and nine runs scored during a 5-0 week for baseball. He slashed .571/1.200/1.771, while going 2-for-2 on stolen base attempts and making all eight of his plays in center field. McNamara finished Sunday's doubleheader sweep of Franklin Pierce 9-for-10 (.900) with three doubles, three home runs, a walk, 15 RBI and six runs scored, while slashing .909/2.100/3.009. He went 12-for-19 in the four-game sweep of the Ravens, homering four times and driving in 18 of his runs, which included a nine-RBI performance in Sunday's opener. McNamara was named the NE10 Player of the Week earlier Monday.


Other Penmen Notables: 
Marc Cisco - Baseball - Gr., IF
Marc Cisco (Long Island City, N.Y.) batted .522 (12-23) with six extra-base hits and eight walks to craft a slash line of .645/1.043/1.688. He homered three times, drove in 12 runs and scored 13. Cisco had multiple hits in four games, including a 4-for-5 performance in Thursday's 15-7 win against Saint Anselm College in which he knocked in four runs.

Casey Cumiskey - Baseball - Jr., IF
Casey Cumiskey (Milltown, N.J.) went 8-for-20 (.400) with a pair of home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored, while slashing .556/.750/1.306. Cumiskey, who swiped four bases, had his best game in Sunday's 29-3 victory against Franklin Pierce University in game one of a doubleheader, going 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI and four runs scored.

Jake Pisano - Baseball - Sr., OF
Jake Pisano (Hamden, Conn.) slashed .429/.519/.571/1.090, as he went 9-for-21 with three extra-base hits and five walks, collecting 10 RBI and scoring nine runs. He had multiple hits in four games, as well as multiple RBI in four games, as well.

Zak Whitney - Baseball - Fr., P
Zak Whitney (Keene, N.H.) turned in the first complete-game performance of his college career in an 11-1 game-two victory at Franklin Pierce on Saturday. Whitney allowed one run on six hits over seven innings, striking out six and walking just one.

Jack Davis - Baseball - Jr., P
Jack Davis (LaGrangeville, N.Y.) went 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA in a pair of relief appearances, as he allowed two runs on four hits over six-and-two-thirds innings, striking out five. He came on to slam the door on Saint Anselm in Thursday's win with five-and-a-third innings of shutout ball, relinquishing just a single hit.

Parker Lendrum - Baseball - Sr., P
Parker Lendrum (Exeter, N.H.) made two appearances in the four-game set with Franklin Pierce, going 1-0 with a save and a 3.68 ERA. He tossed eight pitches to record the final out of game one Saturday to earn the save in an 18-17, 11-inning victory, before coming back Sunday with the complete-game effort in the opener, as he allowed three runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out five and walking three.

Alyssa Abbott - Softball - So., OF
Alyssa Abbott (Hudson, N.H.) led softball with 10 hits in 28 at bats in a 4-4 week. Among her 10 hits were four doubles, as she slugged .500. Abbott drove in two, walked twice and hit .357 for the week. She was 2-for-3 with a walk, double, RBI and run scored in Sunday's 5-1, game-two victory over Assumption.

Payton Bryson - Softball - Fr., IF
Payton Bryson (Franklin, N.H.) went 9-for-21 (.429) with a pair of RBI and four runs scored. She slashed .500/.429/.929, while going 5-for-5 stealing bases. She was 4-for-7 with an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's doubleheader split with Assumption University.

Peyton Feldman - Softball - Sr., OF
Peyton Feldman (Foxboro, Mass.) homered and drove in four runs, while putting together a slash line of .318/.423/.500/.923. She went 7-for-22 at the dish, drew four walks and scored five runs. Feldman had a hit in seven of the eight games.

Sophie Roussel - Softball - Fr., P
Sophie Roussel (Goffstown, N.H.) twirled 22-and-two-thirds innings without allowing an earned run, as she went 2-1 in her four starts, including her first career complete game versus Assumption University on Saturday. In that 1-0 loss, Roussel allowed an unearned run on four hits over seven innings, striking out five and walking a pair.

Sean Dwyer - Men's Lacrosse - Jr., M
Sean Dwyer (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) had six goals and four assists for 10 points to help lead men's lacrosse to a 2-0 week with wins over Dominican (N.Y.) on Wednesday (19-6) and Franklin Pierce University on Saturday (13-8). Two of Dwyer's goals came in man-up situations. He had three goals and two assists in each contest.

Lasse Volquardsen - Men's Lacrosse - So., A
Lasse Volquardsen (Frankfurt, Germany) added six more goals to his season total, scoring three goals in each game. He was selected as the NE10 Rookie of the Week earlier Monday.

Blake Wozniak - Men's Lacrosse - So., M
Blake Wozniak (Garden Grove, Calif.) registered seven points on five goals and two assists, while adding four ground balls. He notched four goals, an assist and three ground balls against Dominican.

Luke Wiedemann - Men's Lacrosse - Jr., LSM
Luke Wiedemann (Cheshire, Conn.) led a strong defensive effort, as the Penmen limited their opponents to a total of 14 goals in the two contests. He tallied eight ground balls and added three caused turnovers in the two wins.

Brynn Goulet - Women's Lacrosse - Sr., A
Brynn Goulet (Tyngsboro, Mass.) tallied five points on four goals and an assist during an 0-2 week for women's lacrosse. She scored three goals in a 20-8 loss to 21st-ranked Saint Anselm College on Wednesday, and added a goal and a helper in Saturday's 20-6 loss to 13th-ranked Adelphi University.

Corrina Obernesser - Women's Track & Field - Gr.
Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.), in her final home meet, won her fifth consecutive 3000m steeplechase at SNHU's Ed Daniels Classic on Saturday. Her time of 11:18.42 is tops in the NE10 this season and third best in the East Region.

Vicente Preto - Men's Tennis - So.
Vicente Preto (Sesimbra, Portugal) went 4-0 during a 2-0 week for men's tennis, including a perfect 2-0 at No. 1 singles. Preto rallied for a 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 victory against Matt Carlson in a 4-3 win at the College of the Holy Cross on Wednesday, before again coming back for a 1-6, 6-4, 10-6 win in Saturday's 6-1 triumph over Saint Michael's College. Preto also teamed with Albert Modol at No. 1 doubles to edge Holy Cross' Jack Prokopis and Will Donnelly (7-5), as well as SMC's Garrett Brooker and Viktor Boban (7-6 (8-6).
